There's a new arrival to the extensive blarney.com product offering that we're very excited about and it's the hand knit Aran Sweater range.
Designed exclusively for Blarney Woollen Mills and inspired by the life along the Atlantic Ocean. These hand knit Irish wool sweaters are created in Donegal, a picturesque county in the north west of Ireland.
The sweater are characterised by their chunky feel, made to survive life on one of the world's great ocean's. The stitches evoke the long and colourful history of a bygone age on the Aran Islands.

What makes these hand knit sweaters extra special is that the wool is locally sourced in Ireland's rugged north west region and thus has a slightly more coarse and rugged feel than the more common Merino wool aran sweaters.
Typically, each of the hand knit sweaters can take between 40 and 50 hours to complete from the raw materials to the stylish finished product. For our knitters, it is a way of life not a job.
These sweaters are available in a range of colours and styles with exclusive hand knit sweaters for women and men. To help launch this new sweater range, we are giving visitors the chance to win one of these sweaters by simply entering their details on our competition page. Enter now by clicking here.
